Simone is a
faculty member for the Masters Program in Philanthropy and Development at Saint Mary's University, Winona, Minnesota. The SMU program is one of the oldest masters program in philanthropy. Presented online and in summer residencies, the program includes courses on leadership, globalization of philanthropy, organizational development, and governance - and, of course, fund development. The cohort model builds strong bonds between students, creating a special learning environment.
Joyaux also
develops and delivers comprehensive training curricula for community foundations and other sponsoring entities.
IN 2009, Simone joined a
new major gift officer immersion training program. Offered over 4 days, the program travels to various sites around the U.S.
Workshops and seminars: Some workshops are directed at general audiences, others are targeted at the less experienced organizations and individuals. Joyaux also develops workshops for advanced executives. Workshops are personalized to the target audience. In addition to the sessions described here, Joyaux designs specific programs at the request of specific groups.
Typical session length: 1.5 hours; 2 hours; 3 hours. All-day sessions are also available. Small group activities are included in longer sessions.

Fees are negotiable and depend upon the following: length of session, preparation time required, and distance to travel. Expense reimbursement is expected for travel, lodging and per diem. Joyaux provides camera-ready handouts to sponsor for photocopying.
